Mold in my system!?

A common call for "Mold" or as we call it, "Biological Growth" in the industry is one worth discussion.
So, what it is? Well, it's really simple. Growth typically appears in your Air Handler where the exchange of heat happens. The reason being is it's a dark & damp environment. It thrives here and continues to build over time, mixing with other household elements such as odors, cleaning products, grease etc.

Another common call is biological growth around supply registers. There are several reasons this can happen but the most common is hot air from the attic mixing with the cold air coming from the vent. A properly sealed duct system and registers are a good place to start if you are experiencing this.
